NDTV Imagine’s plans for ‘Rakhi Ka Swayamvar’ has kicked off with
roaring response from prospective grooms from across the world. In
just 20 days of the show announcement, NDTV Imagine has received a
thunderous response from Rakhi’s admirers. There has been a flood of
entries received from across the globe via phone, email, SMS and even
personal deliveries to the NDTV Imagine office in Mumbai.
12,515 hopefuls have already sent in their profiles in the hope that
they will win Rakhi’s heart and walk away with her hand in marriage.
From businessmen to models and from NRI’s to doctors, and engineers,
these prospective grooms come from all walks of life. Delhi tops the
list with 2,465 entries where Mumbai stands second with 1,980 entries
and Lucknow is in the same league with 1,830 entries. The cities like
Nagpur, Indore, Patna, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Jaipur and Ahmedabad are
not behind either. Most entries are in the broad age group of 18 to
over 35.
A 18 years old Ramesh from Patna thinks that he can fulfill the need
of love and affection that Rakhi is looking for and hence he is the
perfect match for her. 25 years old Sanjay a bachelor from Mumbai
really appreciates Rakhi’s bindass attitude and is looking forward to
be short listed because he thinks that he is mature enough to support
and guide her in every aspect of life.
Reacting to the overwhelming response to her swayamvar, a
super-excited Rakhi opined that it is a great platform for her. She is
happy and wants to really choose one from the lot.
With such a huge response, NDTV officials are really happy and look
forward for the programme as a big success.
The last date of registration is 5th of May after which 15 prospective
grooms will be short listed to take part in ‘Rakhi Ka Swayamvar’
