Shiney’s case transfers to a fast track court

The Mumbai court has transferred the case against Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja to a fast track court, who is accused of raping his maid servant. The actor was serving his judicial custody at Mumbai’s Aurther Road jail.

Shiney Ahuja was arrested on June 14 after his maid servant filed an FIR against him in the Oshiwara police station. Shiney Ahuja’s delayed projects for 2009 are Har Pall and Classmates.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan had promised that the case would be moved to a fast track after the National Commission for Women. Shiney’s bail application which is not accepted and has been pending with the Sessions court will come up for hearing at the fast track court. The star will be presented in the court in September and judgement will be delivered within two weeks.

Sonam Kapoor in all new look

Sonam Kapoor after giving simple and homely performances in both her flicks, Saawariya and Delhi 6 will be seen in an ultra-modern chic in the desi version of Jane Austen’s Emma – Aisha which is produced her dad Anil Kapoor and written down by Devika.

Sonam Kapoor will be wooed by three guys in the flick – Abhay Deol, Arunoday and Cyrus Sahukar. Abhay Deol plays the male lead as the one who is Ayesha’s worst critic as well as the one who secretly loves and cares for her.

Newcomer Arunodoy Singh will be portraying the role of an flirtatious man. And VJ Cyrus Sahukar will appear as a guy who wants to marry Ayesha. Anil himself will play the role of Ayesha’s father – a person who’s a hypochondriac highly concerned about the health and safety of his loved ones.

So all the guys out there get ready to watch Sonam Kapoor in her all new glamorous look.

Longest Guest Appearance is by King Khan

Bollywood’s King Khan is known to do things differently and looks like he followed that very principle when he signed on the dotted line to do a guest appearance in Viveck Vaswani’s ‘Dulha Mil Gaya’. The actor will reportedly be seen in, perhaps, the longest guest appearance ever in the history of Indian cinema.

Shah Rukh, who was initially asked to do a guest appearance in ‘Dulha Mil Gaya’ ended up doing almost an hour long role in the same, making his part in the flick – the longest guest appearance by any star in a Bollywood film.

In the meanwhile, Viveck Vaswani has refuted the reports of SRK being unhappy with him and to clarify the same. He has about 17 scenes and three songs, and among the three, one is his entry sequence. Plus the music video with the entire cast.

However, ‘Dulha Mil Gaya’ is not a professional assignment for SRK. He has done it as a favour to a friend. Well, for now we can perhaps just wait and watch for the flick to release or Shah Rukh to open up on the same.

Ashmit Patel is back

Having done a number of films in Bollywood, Ashmit Patel, now goes to Hollywood’s sunset boulevard, ahem…‘Florida Road’ to be precise. Apparently, Ashmit has recently done a film ‘Florida Road’ which is ready for release.

Film is about an Indian family that has recently moved to Durban, South Africa. In this film, Ashmit is playing the role of a 20-year-old son in the family who aspires to become a screenplay writer. Vipin Sharma, who played Darsheel’s father in TZP, is now playing daddy dear to Ashmit in this Hollywood flick. The film is about father-son relationship. Initially, the father in the film has difficulty in understanding his son, but with the untimely decline of his health, they come closer and finally he understand his son’s aspirations.

With TOSS on the anvil of release, Ashmit has his fingers crossed for the back-to-back Bollywood and Hollywood releases this year.

Neetu slams her car, hits a man

A heavily drunk man threw himself at Neetu Chandra’s car in Cape Town, South Africa. Neetu, who was on her way back from the sets to the hotel room on Sunday night, was shocked when the incident took place.

Neetu and her driver were stunned and couldn’t think of what to do. A crowd started gathering near the gravely injured man. Neetu then called co-star Sanjay Dutt to handle the problem.

Sanjay rushed to the scene along with Sunil Shetty and sorted out the chaos. They spoke to the police and the injured man was sent to the hospital. He is currently recovering in a hospital in Cape Town.

The three of them is shooting for Anees Bazmee’s No Problem there and Neetu thinks that Sanjay and Sunil handled the situation well. She is grateful to the two of them.

Yoga makes Govinda handsome

In his new release this week, Life Partner, Govinda’s role started as a guest appearance and was later extended into a full-fledged part.Govinda admitted that happily, as the producers Abbas-Mustan liked his work and kept extending the role until it became a full-length role. Director Rumi Jaffrey eventually managed to gather his act together and we’ve put together a fun film that they hope will encourage women to look at their husbands and marriages in a different light.

Earlier Katrina Kaif was roped in but later as she refused to co-star with him, Amrita Rao shared screen with him and the two had two scenes together. This was no concern for the No.1 hero.

He has already lost oodles of weight and is looking 5 years younger. Govinda is about to switch lanes, drastically. Having made a career out of comic roles, he’s for the moment bidding adieu to laughter to embrace action.The preparation has started in all seriousness. Govinda has got himself a martial arts and physical trainer and is working on his physique and agility.

On a recent trip to London, Govinda discovered yoga. Govinda’s life -style has changed completely.Thanks to yoga. And though he doesn’t admit it, it was Celina Jaitley who introduced him to a new lifestyle.

We may soon see one more No.1 series film named Handsome No.1 starring Govinda. Is Karishma Kapoor listening?

Prachi Desai’s saree woes

Genelia D’souza has always been projected as a bubbly modern girl full of energy and prancing around in shorts and jeans.

So imagine her dilemma when she had to wear a saree. Genelia D’souza and Prachi Desai had to wear sari for a dance sequence in their forthcoming film Life Partner.

Prachi Desai has acted in many television serials where one is always dolled up in saree, the whole unit thought she would be a pro at draping saree. But when Prachi came on sets, she was very uncomfortable… so much so that she was tripping while dancing.

On the other hand, Genelia was not only comfortable wearing saree but also confident and elegant dancing in them. And the perceptions faded into vain with that.

Laughs Prachi, “Yes, Genelia thought I would be very good at wearing saree since I have worn them for number of times during my TV serial shoot. In fact everybody thought that Genelia would be uncomfortable in saree but when we both came on sets wearing them, she was the one most comfortable and ecstatic with her look. Although I love wearing saree, it was very difficult to handle it during the shoot, especially because we both had to dance wearing them. I am happy that I finally managed” she says.

The film has Fardeen Khan and Tushaar Kapoor in the male leads.

A married lady in Teree Sang

It is one stunning gossip. Teree Sang heroine has been married to Mr. Vaibhav Gore since 2007. Vaibhav is the son of a former police inspector. Incidentally, Sheena Shahabadi plays a 17 year old naïve girl Maahi, who gets pregnant with her best friend Ruslaan, aka Kukko in last week’s release Teree Sang.

Sheena states in this regard that it happened long time back and she considers it to be a mistake. She is confident that this thing won’t affect her film career. She adds that nothing can affect her career or film and that it is her acting that will do the talking for her.

Apparently, after just four months of marriage, Sheena’s mother – yesteryears’ actress Sadhana Singh – visited her in-laws’ house and took her home with an excuse of taking her for shopping. Till today, Sheena and Vaibhav haven’t met again.

We had read in one of Sheena’s recent interview that he had her first with her Teree Sang hero Ruslaan Mumtaz for her debut film.

Salman’s love for his dogs

Since Salman Khan lost his most loved canine Myson, he adopted two new dogs. Salman’s pet dogs are seen more often in his gym these days; not that they are working out there, but they seem to have got cozy in the Gym!

Salman who is said to have a fully equipped personal gym in his Galaxy Apartments is still a regular member at a popular gym near his residence, the reason being that he has given away his gym to his dogs to get comfortable in.

As there was less space in his house he let them in his gym. Soon the dogs settled down and got comfortable in his gym. As Salman is known for loving his pets a lot, he did not want to trouble them and shift
them elsewhere, so he let them stay in the gym.

Salman is so caring about his pets that he ensures that the gym is kept clean and he avoids going in there for his workout, as dogs are staying in there.

So finally, the reason for Salman going to a regular gym and not working out in his house is out in open.

And Salman’s love for his pets is evident too.
