Shilpa’s post Honeymoon plans !

Newly weds Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra are not over with enjoying their wedding celebrations and they would stop at nothing ! They have already planned out holidays after their Honeymoon.Post the grand wedding cermonies and the lavish parties, the couple has decided to plan out holidays for them and their respective families after the love birds return from their honeymoon in the Bahamas.

Raj Kundra will arrange for a Mediterranean cruise for Shilpa’s family along with his own for Christmas holidays as he felt that both the families deserved a break after the tiring time arranging a large scale wedding.
As for the new bride,she is extremely happy that she has two homes now as she doesn’t have to move to London and will be travelling to and fro.The couple left for Tirupathi to seek God’s blessings.

Silence is Golden for My Name is Khan

In Bollywood, whether its the directors, PR persons or Actors, all put their efforts in publicizing their upcoming films.It does not matter, however whether the publicity is good or bad, as long as it is the news !

However Karan Johar is keeping mum about his highly awaited flick My name is Khan starring the hit duo SRK and Kajol. Even Shahrukh Khan who never leaves a chance to promote his movies is keeping quiet about My Name is Khan. Seems they want to build anticipation in the audience to the extent that as soon as the movie is released, people rush and go mad buying tickets to the first show and the plan seems to work well !

Nothing has been said about the movie except that King Khan plays the role of a person suffering from Asperger’s disease who travels across USA in search of her ladylove Kajol.

While most part of the movie has been shot n US, the remaining portion has been scheduled at Film City in Mumbai. A few rescue scenes is all that could be gathered about the movie from sources. The movie is scheduled to release on February 12,2010. Hope all this hush hush will work for the film.

Salman khan and David Dhawan part ways

It seems friend”ships” in Bollywood are sinking one after the other. first the tiff between Farah and SRK shocked the industry and now Salman Khan and David Dhawan seem to have hit a rough patch.

The duo that gave Bollywood several hits like Partner, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge, Biwi No. 1 and Judwaa have now turned sour towards each other, all thanks to Sallu’s mood swings.

Salman Khan doubts David Dhawan’s abilities as a Director as a result of which he sacked the latter out of a project.

Sajid Nadiadwala who considered David Dhawan to direct his upcoming venture titled “Sanki”( a remake of southern film Kick) had to drop his idea as Salman Khan refused to work in the film if David was made a part of it.

“Salman is upset with David for several reasons. He really wanted Partner 2 to take off soon but there is no sign of the film from David’s end. On the contrary, David went ahead to direct Hook Ya Crook with John Abraham, who Salman can’t stand.” as revealed by a source.

Madhuri to play Indira Gandhi in new Biopic

Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit is all set set to essay the role of former Indian prime minister Indira Gandhi in a two-part biopic by filmmaker Krishna Shah.

The Golden Globe nominated Shah has been writing the script of the film Mother: The Indira Gandhi Story for the last 23 years and he now plans to bring it onscreen by the end of 2011, Variety magazine reported.

The renowned director-producer, who has earned critical acclaim both on Broadway and in Hollywood, has roped in Dixit to play the lead in his ambitious project.

Shah hopes to begin shooting in April in India and also plans to shoot some parts in the US, UK and Russia.

“It’s such an exciting, dramatic story. The canvas of her life is too big to be contained in one film,” the writer-director said.

“It will be in Hinglish,” Shah said, adding that the film will have no songs and will be different from a Bollywood-style movie.

Shah’s direction credits include films like Hard Rock Zombies, American Drive-In, Cinema Cinema and Shalimar.

Forty-two-year-old Dixit is known for her roles in blockbusters like Beta, Tezaab, Dil and Devdas. Madhuri dixit is a versatile Indian bollywood actress, done a lot of films and earned a huge rvenue to the film feternity. She appeared in numerous commercial successes and was recognised for several performances as well as dance numbers in various films. Dixit is often cited by the media as one of the most prominent female actresses in Bollywood. In 2008, she was awarded the Padma Shri, India’s fourth-highest civilian award by the Government of India.

Her last Bollywood film was Aaja Nach Le, which did not do well at the box-office. She lives in the US with her doctor husband Shriram Nene and two sons Arin and Raayan.

Madhuri Dixit is a great actress of bollywood industry. She will again now be seen in films in the role of Indira Gandhi. It is going to be a dramatic story.

Aishwaraya refused to work with Hubby !

Aishwaraya has never missed on a chance to work with Hubby Abhishek until now.The international beauty has pardoned herself from the movie titled “Crooked” directed by Abhinay Deo where she was supposed to be paired opposite Abhishek.

The actress has given unavailability of dates as her reason for not doing the film.Seems like her dates have been consumed shooting for the movie Raavan.Even director Vipul Shah is waiting for Aishwaraya to finish her shoot to start with his movie titled “Action Replay”.Akshay who is also doing the film has already completed some portions of the scenes with the actress.

The movie Crooked is a thriller directed by Abhinay Deo and produced Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani.The shooting for the film is expected to start in mid January 2010.

The actress is currently working on the movie “Ravan” directed by Mani Ratnam and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Guzaarish“.

Bebo asked for a good saree from Shiv Sena

Shiv Sena had recently asked to stop the screenings in cinemas for the film Kurbaan if the scene showed Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan undressed. Shiv Sena send a saree to Kareena Kapoor asking her to cover her bare back. This is the second instance in 30 days that a film by Karan Johar has been caught in a controversy.

Kareena Kapoor is not ready to take their attack lying low and has hit back at Shiv Sena. Kareena Kapoor took everything as a joke and said that she would like Shiv Sena to send her a good saree rather than just something as a symbol of protest.

In the poster of the movie Kareena Kapoor poses a bare back holding Saif Ali Khan who has a bullet wound in his chest. Directed by Rensil D’Silva, the film is a love story in the backdrop of terrorism has been in the news these days for the lovemaking scene between Kareena and Saif.

More Than Lovers, We Are Friends: Neil Nitin Mukesh

Neil Nitin Mukesh, who has kept mum about his girlfriend Priyanka Bhatia so far, showed up with her for the first time at the premiere of his critically acclaimed film Jail. He says she is an integral part of his family and that they enjoy a good comfort level.

In an interview, Neil said “My parents and her parents not only know and like each other, we also visit each other’s homes constantly. More than lovers, we’re friends first.”Priyanka has done a course in fashion designing and Neil is open to the idea of her designing his clothes for his films.

“I’d love that. But it should happen on its own. Neither Priyanka nor I want to pressurize anyone to use her skills. But if it happens, I’d be very happy to be dressed up by her,” he said.
He also told his fans that “There’s a comfort level in our interaction that makes us very relaxed with one another. We don’t have to hide anything. We meet openly and are very proud of one another. There’s no pressure for marriage on either side. When it happens, it happens. The marital status would hardly alter anything between us.”

Talking about his girlfriend’s reaction to Jail, he said, “Priyanka and my mom were hysterical with grief. They weren’t looking at just a character being put through a traumatic time. To them it was someone who they both love and he was in pain in front of their eyes.”

Kareena agrees to work with ex beau Shahid

Pannkaj Kapoor’s Mausam would have seen an outburst of romance if Kareena and Shahid were still a couple.Apparently Pankaj had written the script keeping Kareena in mind when his son was dating the actress.
The movie got postponed after Shahid-kareena breakup as Pankaj had to scrape all his plans on casting Kareena as the lead.Moreover the debutante director could not find anybody to produce his movie before Religare Vistaar Entertainment agreed to do it.

“Things are fine now but they can’t go back to Kareena saying that they want her to do the film. They are feeling quite awkward about asking her to star opposite Shahid and hence they have decided to launch a nationwide hunt to look for a girl who will be suitable for the film.” a source revealed.

When asked whether he wanted Kareena for his film, Pankaj said, “Who told you this? I am still writing the script. How can I think of casting actors before I have completed my script? I will further talk when we are ready to roll.”

“Well, Shahid and Kareena look fabulous together on screen. But we are now having a nationwide hunt for the lead actress for Mausam.” Producer Sheetal Talwar commented

Kareena who had no idea about this till she was contacted and asked about Pankaj Kapoor‘ writing a script keeping her and Shahid in mind,said,” “If they have a good script and a good role and ask me to do it, I see no reason why I shouldn’t.”

Jacqueline said that she grew up admiring Aishwarya as how the actress has handled her career and how Aishwarya has become a prominent name at both international and Indian level.

Even with the failure of Aladin at the box-office, Jacqueline Fernandez is not out of the focus. Jacqueline will be soon seen in Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai with Riteish Deshmukh. The flick is set for it’s release in February 2010.

Hrithik Roshan and Mallika Sherawat

Far from home, Hrithik Roshan and Mallika Sherawat got to bond over dinner table in Beverly Hills.

The duo shared some quality time at the famous eating joint Mr Chow. But rest assured, there’s nothing brewing between the two coz they were accompanied by Hrithik’s dad Rakesh Roshan and Brett Ratner who is the co-producer of Kites.

The quartet was photographed coming out of the restaurant and Mallika smiled at the paparazzi and thanked them for showering adulation on her.

A video cameraman followed Hrithik on the street and asked him a few quick questions about his movie ‘Kites’, co-starring Barbara Mori. In his response, Hrithik also expressed his desire to have a milkshake named after him in Los Angeles, just like Mallika got one earlier this year.

Hrithik Roshan is one of the biggest superstars in Bollywood. Hrithik Roshan, who has acted in many blockbuster hits in India, is the poster child of faithfulness in an industry rampant with extra-marital affairs. Hrithik Roshan married to his teenage love, Suzanne Roshan, is reputed to have a very clean personal life.

Mallika has been making a lot of friends in Hollywood ever since she shifted to LA. Just recently she was spotted at a special screening of Mariah Carey‘s film ‘Precious’, produced by Oprah Winfrey.

Mallika even tweeted about meeting Mariah: “Mariah Carey just told me she loved my necklace. She’s supposed to be amazing in the film ‘Precious’ and she looked gorgeous tonight!”

Mallika is banking a lot on her upcoming film Hissss which is expected to bring her to the notice of Hollywood coz it’s directed by Jennifer Lynch.
